The Seven Wonders

Anna was a 9-year-old girl from the small village. She finished attending elementary school till 4th grade at her village. For the 5th grade onwards, she will have to get an admission in a school at a city nearby. She got very happy knowing that she was accepted in a very reputed school in a city. Today was the first day of her school and she was waiting for her school bus. Once the bus came, she got in it quickly. She was very excited.

Once the bus reached to her school, all students started going to their classes. Anna also made it to her classroom after asking fellow students for direction. Upon seeing her simple clothing and knowing she is from a small village, other students started making fun of her. The teacher soon arrived and she asked everyone to keep quiet. She introduced Anna to the class and told that she will be studying with them only from today.

Then the teacher told the students to be ready for the surprise test now! She told everyone to write down the 7 wonders of the world. Everyone started writing the answer quickly. Anna started to write the answer slowly.

When everyone except Anna had submitted their answer paper, the teacher came and asked Anna, “What happened Dear? Don’t worry, Just write what you know as other students have learned about it just a couple of days back”.

Anna replied, “I was thinking that there are so many things, which 7 I can pick to write!” And, then she handed her answer paper to the teacher. The teacher started reading everyone’s answers and the majority had answered them correctly such as The Great Wall of China, Colosseum, Stonehedge, Great Pyramid of Giza, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Tajmahal, Hanging Gardens of Babylon etc.

The teacher was happy as students had remembered what she had taught them. At last the teacher picked up Anna’s answer paper and started reading.

“The 7 Wonders are – To be able to See, To be able to Hear, To be able to Feel, To Laugh, To Think, To be Kind, To Love!”

The teacher stood stunned and the whole class was speechless. Today, a girl from the small village reminded them about the precious gifts that god has given us, which are truly a wonder.

Moral: Value what you have, use what you have, trust what you have. You don’t always have to look away to find an inspiration. God has given you all the strength to reach your goals.

A pleasant experience on the 72nd floor

On Sunday night of December 11, 2016. We had a chance to visit Landmark 72 otherwise known as Keangnam, it’s one of the tallest towers in Vietnam.

The begin of the story started from my younger sister, Hue. To take advantage of the holiday, she visited our boarding-house and stayed there until almost evening. After having dinner together with my older, younger brothers and me. I wondered why will we go somewhere for relaxing? Hue suggested us discovering the tallest floor of Keangnam and we all agreed with her idea, Huyen was coming at that time.

The journey started at 7:30 PM, we reached the destination just about 10 minutes from my house. My older brother paid almost 1 million vnđ in total for 5 tickets. Of course, The average cost per ticket is 200.000 vnđ on Sunday night.

Here are some videos and photos were recorded and taken by me:

Inside the elevator. Because of reduced air pressure,  we were slightly tinnitus.

This is a live stream video that was recorded from my phone at that time

We spent almost time in this 3D art room

I will show more photos below:

That’s normal 😀

Conquered to the Eiffel tower

I suddenly became a tiny person

My body was disappeared

Open the windows

A water picture was destroyed by me

A thunder punch

Why did she choose me?

Together with Huyen

All crazy faces in a funny picture

Outside view from the tallest skyscraper of Vietnam

The first floor was decorated gorgeously

And drank ice-tea beside pavement.

Our journey had reached its end. And we went home at 10:30 PM

Say goodbye to semester 5 | FFL – HaUI

Another semester is over again, the time is not waiting for anybody! I wondered what did I learn from these courses?

It was not only acquisition of knowledge but also experience a lot of new things. I tried learning how to become an actor or even a fool person. Actually, I have opportunities to experience like that such a wonderful thing.

The question is where is our teacher?

Yes, It’s hard to recognise, because she’s too young just older than me one year old. But I felt more motivative when learning with a beautiful teacher like her.

We had a wonderful time together. This is a small farewell party. We get together around the table.

Learning Japanese class. We bought our teacher a ton of surprises by singing her favorite songs.

Especially, We have a chance to study with Chinese students from Guangxi University of Science and Technology, Listening and Speaking subject.

Five More Minutes

While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground.  “That’s my son over there,” she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.  “He’s a fine looking boy”, the man said. “That’s my daughter on the bike in the white dress.”

Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter. “What do you say we go, Melissa?”  Melissa pleaded, “Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes.”  The man nodded and Melissa continued to ride her bike to her heart’s content. Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter. “Time to go now?”

Again Melissa pleaded, “Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes.”  The man smiled and said, “OK.”  “My, you certainly are a patient father,” the woman responded.

The man smiled and then said, “Her older brother Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy and now I’d give anything for just five more minutes with him. I’ve vowed not to make the same mistake with Melissa.  She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch her play.”

Moral: Life is all about making priorities, and family is one and only priority on top of all other, so spend all time you can with loved ones.
